This guide focuses on the PvE side of the Hatred spec. Hatred offers excellent sustained damage that, when executed correctly, consistently stays above 30k DPS throughout an entire boss fight. This specific build is centered around the Maliciousness interaction.

Skill Tree Setup (Single Target / Boss Focus)

For single target and boss encounters, this setup is designed for maximum DoT uptime and synergy.

  • Maliciousness Build: This tree is specifically built around the Level 43 skill choice, which defines your burst windows and resource management.

Stat Priority & Gear Setup

Accuracy

  • 2694 Accuracy (110%)
    Ensures your Force attacks and saber strikes never miss, which is vital for maintaining your DoT spread.

Alacrity

Target 2200 – 2300 Alacrity to hit your GCD breakpoints.

  • 1.4s GCD: 2054 (7.14%)

With Alacrity Guild Perk:

  • 1.4s GCD: 560
  • 1.3s GCD: 3209

Legendary Implants & Tactical

  • Legendary Implants: Dynamic Force & Force Training
  • Tactical: Two Time Trouble
    • Note: This tactical is essential for Hatred, as it allows your periodic damage to tick twice, significantly boosting your sustained DPS.

Core Fixed Rotation

Warning: This rotation is precise. If the chain is broken, you will likely need to wait for Recklessness and Phantom Stride to become available again to successfully recover your momentum.

The Opener:

  1. Stealth: Always begin the fight in stealth.
  2. Phantom Stride: Use from stealth to gap-close and trigger procs.
  3. Discharge & Creeping Terror: Apply your primary DoTs immediately.
  4. Recklessness: Pop this to empower your high-damage spenders.
  5. Eradicate: Use on proc for heavy mental damage.
  6. Leeching Strike: Use for damage and self-healing.
  7. Assassinate: Use whenever the target is in the execution window (below 30% HP) or when proc’d.

Playstyle Notes

  • DoT Management: Your damage relies on keeping Discharge and Creeping Terror active at all times.
  • Recovery: If you drop your rotation, use Phantom Stride to reset your positioning and help jumpstart your priority list.
  • Mobility: As a melee spec, use your shroud and speed to stay on the boss while ignoring minor mechanics.
